Coffee Crashing

Feb 11 | by Amy Martin

Today is the first day in years that I haven’t had a cup (or three) of coffee in the morning and who was able to sail past 2pm without falling asleep or having to play with mapping software to stay focused? Me!

QJ3 lives in a frigid warehouse situated in what used to be The Farm. The Farm was a community center/urban farm/punk rock venu from 1974-1987. Some bands that played here were Frightwig, Discharge, The Decedents, The Mentors, 7 Seconds, MDC, RKL, DRI, Raw Power, The Accused, Red Kross, Soundgarden, The Lookouts, and The Gits. This is a video about the urban farm that still exists here.

did devo start the noosphere?

Apr 1 | by Kristin Neidlinger

Is this what the noosphere looks like? I have been pondering what exactly this future omega point will look like, when we speak in images and telepathy is rampant. Is this space tangible? Maybe Devo knows… This paper seems to suggest Devo’s “idea of de-evolution was a step toward the noosphere well before the internet hit the big time.”
